On July 11 in the «Triumph» Sport Preparation Center a master class on the production of national souvenirs was held. Special lessons were conducted by teachers from the I.Vinokurov Yakutsk Industrial College, Namsky Pedagogical College and P.Romanov Yakutsk Art College. Entrance and master classes are free for all.
The above-mentioned educational institutions conducted such master classes as making a Yakutian knife, the technique of spinning a hairline, building a Yakutian ornament in the Compass 3D program, making a Yakut amulet, chasing coins, and other. There was a large line up on the master classes, especially on the lesson on the bulk card in the form of a flower Sardana. The guests not only passed master classes, but also asked the teachers questions about the subtleties of the work they were doing, told about themselves and just shared a good mood.
Nadezhda Egorovna Kornilova, a teacher of special disciplines on birch bark processing technology at the Yakutsk Art College: «We have a special group» Beresta «in applied art, it was opened in 2013 for the
first time. Since that moment, there have already been two graduates of this group. We mainly teach students by the traditional method: from the beginning that is going to the forest for birch bark and its processing, to exhibiting the work of students in museums. And today we show a master class on creating an amulet of birch bark, in which everyone can take part. They take their work with them as a gift.
