Studying the properties of figures in space with buildings using 3D models becomes more interesting. Using environmental waste in art sets a new trend that shows global environmental problems. Such topics are explored by young researchers — participants of the International Conference-Contest Science faire .
Arkady Tastygin, a participant of the «Mathematics, Computer Science and Information Technology» section, has developed a project for compiling stereometric problems in the form of 3D modeling of old Yakut buildings. He gave a detailed introduction to his work:
The idea for the project came to me two years ago. I had such an idea to make 3D models of urasa in the computer and I did it after one year. My goal is to study stereometry in an interesting way for me and my peers. The project is relevant, first of all, because stereometric problems cause great difficulty for students because of the inability to correctly represent bodies in space. This problem can be solved through 3D modeling by creating spatial objects. Secondly, I believe that the work can be used in preparing students for the Unified State Exam in Mathematics — in tasks related to stereometry.
Ariana Gotovtseva, a member of the Social Sciences and Humanities section, presented her report «Birch tree, eco paper made from fallen birch and hawthorn leaves”. This is what she said about her project:
The relevance of my work is that in the age of digitalization and technology the author’s work becomes invaluable. The use of ecological waste in art sets a new trend that points to global environmental problems. This idea was born in my mind in 2019 when the topic of ecology began to spread actively. Then I thought that paper is not an environmentally friendly product at all as a lot of material is wasted. So I decided to take up this kind of activity.
In practice I have already tried to make paper. There is my own recipe which uses a minimum amount of ingredients. The main components are leaves, water, PVA glue and waste paper. Paper can be made more dense by adding chalk and dyeing with food dyes. In the future, I want to attract people and teach them to create eco-paper from fallen leaves of birch and hawthorn, then to make an exhibition of paintings. I want to draw attention to the fact that everyone should use paper in reasonable quantities.
